South West Queensland by Train is an 8 day tour starting and finishing at Thirroul. Travelling by train is the major highlight of the itinerary including  extensive travel aboard our specially chartered Southern Downs train in South West Queensland. Our chartered coach  will facilitate our off-train journeys and touring.

We explore the New England region enroute to Stanthorpe we join our Southern Downs chartered train for extensive touring to the Garden City of Toowoomba, Warwick, Goondiwindi, the Maranoa and Southern Downs regions of South West Queensland.

We spend 2 nights both at  Goondiwindi so we can experience the Maranoa and the highlights of St George including the Riversands Winery, a cruise on the Maranoa River and a leisurely ride on our chartered train.

On our southward journey from Goondiwindi  we travel via the historic town of Bingara to Tamworth. And the final day of the tour will feature a very special chartered electric train (subject to final approval) which will convey us direct from Wyong to Thirroul to complete this unique tour.

Included: all meals, extensive train travel including specially chartered trains, chartered coach and vessel; ensuite accommodation, all touring. Fully escorted.
